The death eaters were creepier than ever! It also shows a scene with Severus Snape's backstory, which contains the death of Harry's mom. It is a little confusing for people who haven't read the books as there is more back story in there. a much anticipated passionate kiss between Ron and Hermione had the whole audience clapping. Now I've said everything about how age appropriate it is, violence, etc- I need to talk about how great the movie was. There is some form of violence in almost every scene, so if your kid is scared during Kung Fu Panda 2, don't take them to see this. I think that was a bad choice for a boy so young. I DID see people bringing in very young children, though- I remember a boy half my height chanting "harry potter" in his squeaky 5-year-old voice. I protested against my 9 year old sister coming along to see the movie, but she was fine with it because she had seen violent movies before. Filled with action and drama, this movie is VERY fast paced. This was probably the best Harry Potter movie yet. In conclusion this is a fitting end to an amazing series and if your child (I'd say 11+ but you make the choice based on this review and others) doesn't get too badly affected by some disturbing scenes- by all means bring them along!! Nothing to be worried about in that category. As for sex there is one overly passionate kiss between Ron and Hermione for about ten seconds and Harry and Ginny share several short soft kisses. At the end you see the body but not too much blood is shown. During the attack you can hear all the grunts and strikes but can't see anything. The first is a disturbing scene where Voldemort walks over dead bloody bodies (i wont tell of whom.) The second is the aftermath of a violent snake attack. Most deaths aren't shown and there is only blood in two scenes. This movie is also the most violent in the series with spells being cast everywhere and people dying.

Harry Potter is a great role model in this movie, and positive messages about love and commitment course throughout the movie. the emotional level is the highest in any of the potter films, and the acting and special effects were superb. the movie is the first movie i've ever gone to thats given me that many goose bumps and made me want to cry.
